The testing was aimed to determine the proportion of patients with high viral load* in patients with Hepatitis B.
Scope of the project: 563 patients in 11 regions of Russia (Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Kostroma, Voronezh, Samara, Penza, Tula, as well as Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory).
Method: Hepatitis B test (Hepatitis B PCR Quantitative).
The project involved the regional clinics, diagnostic laboratories, regional centers for AIDS prevention and control and FMBA.
The obtained findings were used to improve the quality and availability of medical services to patients with Hepatitis B, and justify the budget increase for procurement of appropriate medications.
